About the District

Overview

The Ladera Recreation District (LRD) was initially formed to serve the residents of the Ladera Community. Over the years, our services have extended and we now welcome members and guests who live in nearby Bay Area communities. The focus of the LRD has been to create a beautiful, comfortable setting that feels like a home away from home, a true community center for everyone..

Amid a stunning setting, Ladera Recreation District’s facilities include a competition six-lane 25-yard pool with diving well, and a spacious baby pool with its adjacent “Laderaland” play area. Complete with swings, slide and climbing equipment, it’s a favorite play area for all those who conquer it. The LRD has two full time tennis courts and two tennis/pickleball court combos-all of which have lighting for evening use. Our unique hilltop location also boasts a bocce ball court and a sand volleyball court. We host many programs and activities described throughout this website that we hope will be of interest to you, your families and friends.

The summer season is an especially busy one. It’s during these months that you can truly experience the LRD - Evening barbecues, special holiday events, informal poolside gatherings for all ages, the awesome youth swim team - it’s a hub of summer fun. LRD is now open year-round with the 2023 completion of our new aquatics facilities!
